Abstract Summary

A three-stage surgical approach effectively treats severe stage 4 diabetic foot ulcers. Adding tibial cortex transverse transport (TTT) surgery in the final stage eliminated the need for repeat vascular procedures and improved pain scores, blood flow, and sensation one year post-surgery compared to treatment without TTT. Both groups showed similar healing times and amputation rates, but TTT enhanced long-term vascular benefits.

Why Brain? 🧠

Novel three-stage surgical approach effectively treats severe diabetic foot ulcers, reducing reintervention rates. Adding tibial cortex transport improves pain, blood flow, and sensation outcomes.
