Abstract Summary

Breast cancer survivors face elevated cancer risk, yet many don’t follow protective health behaviors. A survey of 186 survivors found that while 75% believed diet, exercise, and healthy weight could reduce recurrence, most didn’t act on this knowledge—especially regarding BMI management. Surprisingly, high-risk patients weren’t more adherent, highlighting a critical intervention opportunity.

Why Brain? 🧠

Breast cancer survivors often don’t follow diet, exercise, and weight guidelines that could reduce recurrence risk, despite believing these behaviors help—especially those at higher risk.
