Abstract Summary
Ghana’s under-five mortality has steadily declined over 40 years, accelerating since 2000. Key factors include bed net use (29% risk reduction), birth spacing, and maternal education. Increased bed net coverage significantly contributed to mortality decline. With continued scale-up of proven interventions, Ghana could achieve its MDG 4 target of 45-69 deaths per 1,000 live births by 2015.
Why Brain? ðŸ§
Ghana’s accelerated child mortality decline since 2000 is linked to increased bed net use, better birth spacing, and maternal education. Scaling up these interventions could help achieve MDG 4 targets by 2015.
