Abstract Summary

Researchers developed a novel nanozyme therapy for acute kidney injury (AKI) by combining catalase with manganese sulfide. The CAT@MnS nanozyme targets kidneys, simultaneously neutralizes harmful reactive oxygen species, and reduces inflammation—two key drivers of AKI. Testing in mouse models showed significant kidney protection and damage reduction, offering a promising new treatment approach for this serious condition lacking effective therapies.

Why Brain? đź§
