Abstract Summary

Dual mobility cups (DMCs) dramatically reduce hip dislocation risk in elderly fracture patients with neurological disorders undergoing hip replacement. A review of 588 patients showed only 0.34% dislocation rate versus historically higher rates with standard implants, plus significant functional improvement. DMCs offer a safer option for this high-risk population.

Why Brain? ๐Ÿง

Dual mobility cups in THA cut dislocation rates to 0.34% in neurological patientsโ€”vs. historically high ratesโ€”offering safer hip replacement with good functional outcomes in this vulnerable population.
