Abstract Summary
A20 protein, previously recognized as an apoptosis inhibitor, has now been identified as a cancer stem cell promoter in gliomas, correlating with worse patient outcomes. This discovery reveals a new mechanism by which A20 drives tumor progression and suggests it may serve as both a prognostic marker and therapeutic target.
Why Brain? đź§
A20 protein promotes glioma stem cell survival and tumor growth. Targeting A20 may offer new treatment strategy for aggressive brain cancers with poor prognosis.
