Abstract Summary
Researchers successfully improved three kidney function equations for Chinese patients using mathematical algorithms. The modified CKD-EPI equation showed best accuracy when tested against 703 subjects. This provides clinicians with better, low-cost tools to evaluate kidney filtration rates in Chinese populations.
Why Brain? 🧠
Mathematical algorithms successfully improved accuracy of kidney function equations for Chinese patients, with the modified CKD-EPI equation showing best performance in estimating glomerular filtration rate.
