Abstract Summary

Modernization shows mixed effects on reproductive health among Bolivian Tsimane forager-farmers. While literacy delays sexual debut and reduces infection risk, proximity to towns and Spanish fluency increase infidelity and sexually transmitted infections. Over half of women showed gynecological problems, with higher rates near urban areas despite better healthcare access.
