Abstract Summary

Elevated plasma TGF-β1 levels correlate with cardiac remodeling in both aortic stenosis patients and mouse models under pressure overload. The study demonstrates that circulating TGF-β1 associates with increased ventricular mass, fibrosis markers, and hypertrophic gene expression, suggesting plasma TGF-β1 may serve as a biomarker for myocardial remodeling severity.

Why Brain? 🧠

Plasma TGF-β1 levels correlate with heart muscle remodeling in aortic stenosis patients and mice, suggesting potential use as a biomarker for assessing cardiac damage severity before valve surgery.
