Abstract Summary
Patients with autoimmune liver diseases show a notable overlap with autoimmune gastritis, particularly those with primary biliary cholangitis. In this study of 104 patients, 22% tested positive for anti-parietal cell antibodies, with 91% showing histological confirmation of gastric disease and high rates of intestinal metaplasiaโa precancerous condition requiring surveillance.
