Abstract Summary
Meta-analysis of 13 studies (1,304 patients) reveals adjuvant treatment significantly reduces recurrence after non-curative endoscopic resection of superficial esophageal cancer compared to observation alone (OR=3.25). Lymphovascular invasion emerged as a key recurrence risk factor. Surgery and chemoradiotherapy showed comparable efficacy, offering flexible treatment options.
Why Brain? đź§
Meta-analysis shows adjuvant therapy after incomplete endoscopic removal of early esophageal cancer significantly reduces recurrence versus observation alone, with lymphovascular invasion identified as key risk factor.
