Abstract Summary

Problem-based learning (PBL) may better prepare medical students for research careers than traditional lectures. A study of 150 Pakistani medical students found PBL and lecture-based learners had similar research knowledge, but PBL students showed significantly more positive attitudes toward research (75.5% vs 66.7%, p=0.021) and higher participation rates (89% vs 74%).
