Abstract Summary
Grape seed compound procyanidin B2 shows promise against atherosclerosis in diabetic patients by targeting MFG-E8 protein. In diabetic mice, the compound normalized 139 proteins and reduced arterial damage. Higher MFG-E8 levels correlated with arterial stiffness in T2DM patients, suggesting it as a potential biomarker.
Why Brain? ðŸ§
Grape seed compound GSPB2 protects against diabetic artery damage by targeting MFG-E8 protein, which correlates with arterial stiffness in T2DM patients and could serve as a biomarker.
